REPORTS:
PRESIDENT’S REPORT
Much has been happening with the various Committees and I wish to note my
appreciation of the work being undertaken by all Committee Members.
The Pennant Selection Committee has done a great job and the training
program for training matches in September has been well organised.
The Coaching Panel is working well and with the Pennant Selection Committee
has developed a training program for the season.
Opening Day was successful and thanks to all who worked to make this occur.
The Alec Treacher Green is being raised and levelled. This should improve
the quality of the green and also slow the pace.
I wish all Pennant Sides the best for Season 2009-2010.
SECRETARY’S REPORT
The 2009-2010 Handbook is now available and ready for collection. There will
be some that will have to be mailed out or I will deliver.
Pennant Games – Woven Badges have been ordered and should be here soon.
It is now almost certain I will need to order some new shirts. Smaller sizes
will be required for some of the lady members.
There has been no further information regarding the removal of the trees. If
I hear nothing further by the end of next week, I will contact Councillor
Briffa.
New Rule Books have been received and distributed to Coaches and Umpires..
New Umpiring Equipment is in hand.
Neil Eager has applied to re-join the RLBA Section.
The “Cushion Sheds” will be locked by padlock.
RVBA DELEGATES REPORT
By arrangement with the host club, visiting teams may practice on the rinks
before Pennant Games. It was noted that although late, fixtures and draws
are now with clubs. The reasoning behind how Sections and Divisions are
formulated was explained.
Unification vote looks likely to proceed in December.
The results of Pennant matches should be available on the web on Saturday
evening.
GREENS REPORT
TigerTurf are currently working on the bottom green at the moment. David
Whiteman provided an update in support of a memo from Green Keeper Noel.

the October meeting.

Corporate Days will also be promoted. Rod Ward is to be approached to assist
on the running of barefoot bowls.
